Discussing AI's Future on National Television

I was recently invited to speak on a national TV panel about AI, broadcast on TVR2, Romania's public television, in a show hosted by Monica Ghiurco.

The panel brought together a diverse group of voices: Cristian Mihail Teodorescu – physicist and researcher at Măgurele; Alexandru Mironov – respected science communicator; Răzvan Bologa – university professor and digital strategist; and myself – offering a practitioner's view on how AI is already changing work, creativity, and decision-making.

"What stood out to me was the richness of perspective: academic, scientific, technical, strategic. These kinds of interdisciplinary dialogues are not just valuable — they are essential. Because the future of AI is not just about what the technology can do, but how we as a society choose to shape it."

AI Panel Discussion on TVR2 AI Discussion on National Television

We discussed what AI can actually do today, what still remains science fiction, and how these technologies are reshaping education, work, and even identity. The conversation moved fluidly between the philosophical and the practical, between concerns and opportunities.

A Meeting of Diverse Perspectives

The panel brought together voices from different fields:

  • Cristian Mihail Teodorescu – physicist, researcher, and professor at Măgurele, with deep insights into the relationship between science and society
  • Alexandru Mironov – a respected science communicator, known for decades of work helping the public engage with emerging technologies
  • Răzvan Bologa – university professor and digital strategist, focused on transforming education in the digital age
  • Myself – offering a practitioner's view on how AI is already changing how we work, create, and make decisions

Beyond the Technology

Our conversation covered the full spectrum of AI's impact: from technical capabilities to societal implications. We addressed common misconceptions about what AI can currently do, explored how it's transforming education and workplace dynamics, and considered the broader philosophical questions about identity and humanity in an increasingly AI-driven world.

Thank you to the team at TVR2 for facilitating such a meaningful and open exchange. These public dialogues are crucial as we collectively navigate the opportunities and challenges that AI presents.
