AI Panel at Astrofest

On May 24th, I took part in Astrofest 2025, Romania's largest outdoor science and astronomy festival. It was held in Parcul Crângași and brought together thousands of science enthusiasts, researchers, and technology experts. The festival explored how cutting-edge technologies like AI are transforming our understanding of the universe. How artificial intelligence can accelerate scientific discovery and space exploration. And how these technologies bridge the gap between human curiosity and cosmic mysteries. The big question behind it all: How can AI help us unlock the secrets of the universe and advance scientific research?

I was invited to speak about artificial intelligence and its applications in scientific research and space exploration. The panel brought together experts from astronomy, technology, and research institutions. I spoke from the perspective of developing AI systems that can process vast amounts of scientific data and support breakthrough discoveries in fields like astrophysics and space science.

Astrofest brings science out of laboratories and into the public space. Surrounded by telescopes, interactive exhibits, and thousands of curious minds, it's the ideal environment to discuss how AI is transforming scientific research.

The festival featured everything from solar observations during the day to deep-sky viewing at night, with AI discussions woven throughout the program alongside robotics demonstrations and VR experiences.
